We’ve all heard the phrase ‘a fly in the ointment’. Here in Grenada we’ve just had a mosquito in paradise. Grenada is a gorgeous island but the arrival of Chikungunya did take a little of the gloss of that. It seems that just about everybody has had it to one degree or another. It varied in strength from person to person but nobody enjoyed it. We’re now left with the residual effects of aching joints that, when in the fingers as is common, can seriously hamper the removal of a bottle top. Not good!

There is good news though. Everybody has had it and you can’t get it twice. That means there’s nowhere for the mosquitos to pick it up from and so there shouldn’t be any amount of new infection. Full gloss paradise is back.
